Well groups of people are absolutely frightening. Horrifying!
also it is stupid that I can't really ever go anywhere with a girl I like from around here. It always gets around that I'm "gay." ugh. UGH! Sarah is so cute! I kind of like her.
Lj is becoming so much more different. I don't much like it. I like the days of past simplicity.

Summer realisation! and realization that I live in a crappy town.
I volunteered in the rain and it felt SO GOOD. I am happy. They sent me a gift card for starbucks for volunteering, but I'm happy still.
Oh, and Le Sacre du Printemps. oomg. oh my! With an orchestre, it's even more amazing. I felt dread and fear and my hands were sweaty, and I felt flashes of amazement. SNDJGUFN SO GOOD
&And I saw an opera and a ballet. The opera was so good. so very very good. Ainadamar it was called, and holy shiit, amazement! The instrumentation was incredibly original and striking. I need a recording of it. Golijov is the best contemporary composer I've heard.
The ballet was Prokofiev's Romeo&Juliet. It was not good, but only because the people wouldn't shut up. It really pissed me off. It's one of my favourite pieces and it was ruined. stupid

Volunteering at the children's museum starts Tuesday, and I volunteer 6 hours a week. plus all the things I choose from Chicago Cares. Woo~! I will have at least 54 hours of community service by the end of summer. If I wanted to join NHS, I'd be so in. The people volunteering there are so nice. This one guy is so cool and kind of cute. &The staff has [have?] taken a liking to me. Hooray! The place is just overflowing with good vibes :D

Next on the agenda is to get violin lessons & roadtrips. and finish reading the stack of 50 books.
I seem to have a lot for this summer. I realised I have much to do in this lifetime. I MUST have at least 2 Master Degrees and one Ph.D. I must compose a symphony or opera. I must have a gallery showing; i must lead research in some area of something. I must study string theory and art history. I must write a novel; I must get some philsophical discussions plublished. Skydiving, snowboarding, doctors without borders, massive donations and volunteering all over the world. there is so much to do. i have to either not sleep or not die. but i will get most of these done. dreams!

School, is, over, for now!!
I talked to teachers today. Mrs. Nicholson, I like her. She's a pretty awesome teacher! She said she hated Scantron, and how learning has now been associated with memorization instead of seeing connections, ideas, and etc. The Art History final was entirely essays. This is how all exams should be. It not only shows that you know things, but you know why and how it happened, and its importance. It also helps develop writing skillz, which is sooo important!
Yeah. She thought it was weird that I'm going for two majors, one in Art History, and the other in Neuroscience. So disparate, but I will show how art influences creativity in the mind, and thus helps in grasping ideas and everything better. Yes, this will be my thesis, maybe.
Also: I have 3 borderline grades. A 91.25% in German. A 91.5% in English. An 83% in Pre-calc. wtff. SO CLOSE. Well. Precalc. the highest grade on the final was an 85% ._o haha, If I had turned in a couple assignments, that would have made all the difference. oh well! Next year, perhaps I'll do more homework. definately for AP Calc.

Jen's baby cousin is so cute!! I helped take care of him. !! so cute!! It makes me excited for the Children's Museum volunteering. It's next week!!!
Also: Saturday from 7 - 11 I am volunteering in Chicago for random things. It is even more exctiing.

I went bookshopping. FUCKFUCKFUCK, 130$ On the plus side, they're amazing books. still. fuck. This brings the number of books on my desk, waiting to be read, to 50.
On another plus side, the cashier at Barnes and Noble was really cute and we talked about Post Modern books. &The cashier at Bookzeller was so hot. Nose piercing, stunning eyes, amazing smile, and we talked about philosophers. So many wondeful people in the world, la la la . . .
